This statue is a one-of-a-kind handcrafted item made of wood from the Bodhi tree in the traditional way. It is made in the Himalayan region of Nepal. Each of these statues differs from all the others with various small differences, but what they all have in common is that they are made with a lot of love.

Buddha Sakyamuni is the next in importance among the Dhyani Buddhas. He is considered by Nepalese Buddhists to be the second Dhyani Buddha. Buddha Sakyamuni comes from the blue syllable Hum. It is two-armed and one-sided and displays the bushuparsa (touching the earth) mudra, which means to witness the earth and to sit in the vajraparyanka pose. It represents the original cosmic element of vijnana (consciousness). When he is depicted in the stupa, he always faces east. His left hand rests on his lap, while his right rests on his right knee, with the tip of his middle fingers touching the ground with his palm drawn inward.
