Height: approx. 38 cm.
Width: approx. 22 cm.

Samantabhadra means “perfectly good” or “all-good.” To signify that he is entirely his true self, this Adi-Buddha (not to be confused with the Bodhisattva Samantabhadra) is depicted completely unclothed and without any attributes. He is usually accompanied by his prajna, Samantabhadri, who is also entirely naked. This *unio mystica* reveals that all beings – who, like Samantabhadri, have distanced themselves from the Absolute—can nonetheless return to a union with the Absolute once they detach themselves from all worldly ties (symbolized here by the absence of clothing and ornaments.
