This statue is a one-of-a-kind handcrafted piece made of teak wood. The place of manufacture is the Himalayan region of Nepal. Each of these statues differs from all others in various small differences, however, all have
in common that they are made with a lot of love.

Buddha Sakyamuni

Buddha Sakyamuni is significant alongside the Dhyani Buddhas. He is considered the second Dhyani Buddha by Nepalese Buddhists. Buddha Sakyamuni comes from the blue syllable Hum. It is two-armed and one-sided and demonstrates the Bushuparsa (earth-touching) mudra, which means calling the earth witness and sitting in the Vajraparyanka pose. He represents the original cosmic element of Vijnana (consciousness). When depicted in the stupa, he always faces east. His left hand rests on his lap while the right rests on his right knee with the tip of the middle fingers touching the floor with palm drawn in.
